I bought a Toyota Rav 4 2020 hybrid off…

I bought a Toyota Rav 4 2020 hybrid off Arnold Clark in August 2023 with the suspension progressively getting worse the longer it was driven. I informed them that the car was unsafe to drive but ultimately ended up being ignored. I spent a fortune at Toyota, local garages, mobile mechanics and various tire shops trying to get to the root of the problem. After randomly checking out the vast service paperwork/history stored in the glovebox 7 months after purchase low and behold it turned out the car was in a major wreck a couple of months before I took ownership of it. Still the dealership was not interested with it now being over the 6 month period for trading standards. A engineer checked over the car once I contacted Rejectmycar and started pointing out a very extensive list of dangerous damage on the car. A refund/settlement was reached with Arnold Clark/Toyota and I received payment 11 weeks after the car was picked up solely due to Toyotas incompetence! It should have been 4 weeks maximum but a catalogue of mistakes by Toyota kept it going a lot longer than it should have. I will never take finance out with Toyota again due to the experience I had with them. To my shock the car is currently relisted for sale with a fresh MOT on their website. A special shout out to Ian and Margo for getting me justice in the end!

I was getting nowhere and being ignored.

So bought this car from Lexus in Glasgow. The car began to reveal several major faults with 4 of them being mot failures. I rejected the car with the help of trading standards but they refused to engage with us and ignored calls and emails. I discover Reject my car and oh my it all kicks off. Stuck right in they did. My contact at reject Craig Lamont, was cool calm and collected as he took over the situation. Craig was amazing as he got on with the job and gave me constant updates on how things were progressing. Obviously Lexus wanted to deny all the faults but craig absolutely knows his stuff and refused to give them an inch. Eventually Lexus reluctantly folded through the sterling work of craig who had all the answers and left them with nowhere to go but to concede that they did in fact sell a not fit for purpose car to me with little thought for my safety… they will be sorry to ever have heard the name Craig Lamont the king of protection for customers. He secured me a full refund which never looked possible before he intervened.

Thank you so much rejectmycar.com you are simply wonderful.

Great work from Ian and the team

We bought a brand new motorhome from a well known retailer in Newcastle. On receipt of the vehicle we noticed some very poor workmanship on the roof seals, which we believed would cause water ingress. We rejected the vehicle on those grounds and the retailer refused either a refund or replacement. Getting nowhere with emails and the retailer ceasing communications with us, we hired Ian who took over the case and fought so hard on our behalf to get us a refund. We received a full refund yesterday. I truly believe that without Ian’s expert help we would not have had such a good outcome so quickly.

If you have bought a vehicle that has faults and the retailer is not listening to you or refusing to do the lawful thing, call Ian, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I want to say a massive thank you to…

I want to say a massive thank you to Ian and the team at Reject My Car for dealing with my car complaint and helping me get my car returned. The car was not fit to be driven on the road, and to be honest, I never thought it would actually go back. I’m absolutely overwhelmed and couldn’t have done it without your help. I highly recommend this company to anyone struggling with a car dispute – they truly fight for what’s right!

Thanks

Fought for me all the way

Ian and his team fought for me all the way to the courtroom to seek resolution for a dodgy – and in my opinion dangerous – MG4 electric car sold by Gillanders Motors.

The battle lasted almost two years, during a very difficult time where I lost people close to me. Without the experience and grit of Ian and the team I would not have been able to persevere.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is very clear in setting out the criteria and timeframes in seeking recourse for unsatisfactory goods – but what if a company simply refuse? Pursuing them legally through the courts is the only recourse, which takes time and can be very costly – and these companies know this only too well.

I’m truly grateful and thankful to Ian’s team, my Solicitor (Robert), and Advocate (Jonathan) for getting me the result. Thank-you all.

I bought my first car through finance…

I bought my first car through finance from a dodgy dealership and of course it broke down just after 32 days. I had no paper work to tax the broken down vehicle and it was clamped and towed by the DVLA. Absolute nightmare from the start until I reached out to reject my car. Ian and the team took it on straight away and told me I didn’t have to worry anymore and he was right, 2 months from the day they took on my case and I am finally free of the car and all the stress that came with it. I can’t thank you all enough for the hard work and time you’ve put into my case. If you’re ever in the same situation I found myself in then don’t hesitate in getting in touch with them, I don’t know what I would have done without them.

5 star service from a 5 star company

Well where do I start I bought a van from Peter Vardy (carz) In March 2023 the turbo failed in June 2023 Peter Vardy said they’ll replace the turbo which I was happy with, I was due to pick the van up about 6 weeks later but the full engine failed when they tested it on the day I was due to pick it up . Once I heard of this I wanted the van rejected but Peter Vardy said it’s classed as one fault and they have an opportunity to fix the problem 8 months past still no van and 100s of calls and emails later I had enough of the non responses from Peter Vardy I contacted REJECT MY CAR and I wish I done it months ago. Sally & Margo my case handlers were absolutely amazing. I will definitely be using reject my car in the future and will never use Peter Vardy (carz) ever again the aftercare I received was shocking.

Bought the van March 2023, Broke down June 2023, Contacted reject my car March 2024

Got the majority of my money back from Peter vardy and the finance company September 2024,

I really can’t fault the service I received from reject my car they took a massive weight of my shoulders.

Thanks very much for your help Sally and Margo
